This large disk of sterling silver has been hammered to achieve the surface texture you see in the picture. It measures 35mm in diameter (the diameter of a D cell battery is 34mm). Creating texture on a metal surface can be quite satisfying once it is done as it instantly gives a piece another level of interest.
