Joan Ferguson is the former Governor of Wentworth Correctional Centre. She is extremely manipulative and a sociopath, she also holds personal vendettas with Bea Smith and Will Jackson. She serves as the main antagonist of Season 2, Season 3, Season 4, Season 5, a posthumous antagonist in Season 6 until being revealed to be alive in the finale of Season 7 living rough on the streets, she serves as the main antagonist for the first half of Season 8 in which her role is now likely to change due to her losing her memory.
